A few simple things added like Profile picture, images and better formatting of cards. Also possible to search. Some other things I also added was translations for languages not configured as visible. So if any other toots come in with a language I don't speak […]
I had this idea about how to improve my "consumption" of Mastodon toots. So I built this very simple experimental setup where I consume my own Home timeline, classify each toot into a topic. These are then streamed to a simple web-based UI to show me simple […]
It is somehow possible to create a Mastodon "Feed" in the advanced UI that is only showing boosts? I'm happy with having one without boosts, but I would also like to have one which only shows boosts and not regular Toots. But it seems only possible to have one Feed with, or without, boosted Toots.
Embark Studios and the latest Frozen Trail really shows how much can happen in 6 months, but also (and perhaps most importantly) how important it is to slow things down and do them properly. A 6 month cadence may possibly be slightly too long, and perhaps they should aim for 4 months instead to […]
I have lately received several offerings about getting paid for talking to "a company" that wants to establish itself in the Nordics.
I don't understand the scam, because I'm assuming that's what it is... does anyone know what this is all about?
The hype is real: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjiJDylLdZA
ARC Raiders Frozen Trail gives me chillz. I can't wait for this :-)
ARC Raiders is one of the coolest games I've played in along time, and these "behind the scenes" kind of videos are... amazing to watch:
#ARCRaiders is only $20USD on #Steam right now. This game is worth every penny. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1808500/ARC_Raiders/
I'm guessing if the DIVD attack is at all indicative of what's to come regarding agent driven attacks. It will be interesting to see how that changes attribution. Perhaps it will make things a lot easier given the almost fanatical desire to self document and "reason" about things. Either way […]
Sure, throw-away applications / software ... works great. If you need to build something to do something once, it's awesome. But to build complex software that is intended to survive and evolve over time... code generation will not help you without human supervision. Not at all. The generation […]
This is a Toot about code generation, and if any LLM-use annoys the crap out of you, don't read further. So I'm a daily user of code generation tools and one thing that is painfully obvious is that no matter how much prompting, guardrails, rules, contracts, dynamically loaded constraints for […]
And... we've got Friday morning over here in #Sweden. It will be a day of programming and development, most likely tearing some of the remaining hair from my head.
What are you working on today? (Or will be working on?)
This makes me curious: https://sec.cloudapps.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-notice-fBn58ELx
Advanced notification about vulnerabilities for October 7? What's that about, is that a common practice?

@bontchev This fucking shrinkconomy is incredibly frustrating.
It's everywhere.
There's one thing that annoys the fuck of it me and it's bread. If I buy a loaf of bread, it LOOKS big, but there's probably so much yeast in that thing that it expands into an almost hollow sort of thing. Sure the […]
Wow, LinkedIn's algorithm really doesn't want people to read @sarahgilbert's article about keeping the Internet human in the era of AI
Out of the 10,200 impressions the feed gave my posts last week, it only gave 65 to Sarah's *important* article in @techpolicypress
As Sarah writes, "If AI […]
The new AI dictionary:
Seeing alot of performative commentary by AI detractors on sheer jankiness and the lack of quality of Meta's agent harness. Guess none of them have seen what every major "next generation" network security vendor's admin http server code looks like and what every XDR company's endpoint agent […]
Morning fellow tooteronies. What's crackin'?
@orlysec is back in action. Currently reviewing each item before publishing, but once things appear to be working smoothly it will autopublish like before.
And since I've now given myself ample room and opportunity to customize the "streams" of output, let me know if there are any particular […]
