The EQ VAS rates current health on a scale of 0–100. So should the EQ-HWB-9 have one too?

Nazari et al. tested three potential VAS constructs - health, health and wellbeing, and quality of life.

This decision is the culmination of a multi-year project to develop the new 5L value set for the UK in a collaboration between the research team, NICE, Department of Health & Social Care, NHS England, EuroQol & other external experts. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved. 3/

Updated NICE methods manuals for technology appraisals and guidelines are due to be published later this year, but to avoid unnecessary delay in implementing the new 5L value set, this interim methods statement has been published now. 2/
