I recently bought a piece of Love on the Dole theatrical ephemera which I have never seen before. It is a large double-sided blue flyer for the play at the Grand Theatre, Doncaster in 1936 - maybe a unique survivor?

Marlovians might like to know that there are now dates available for Carlos Pons Guerra's dance adaptation of Edward II. I saw an earlier version of this and found it very moving. www.denada-dance.com/whats-on-1

The next production by Edward’s Boys will be Your Five Gallants by Thomas Middleton, a playwright with whom we have had some dealings. Mid-March 2027. Tour is a work in process - although Stratford-upon-Avon, London and Paris (France) are confirmed. Please spread the word. More details to follow.

I defy you to better 'Dragons Through Time', submitted about ten years ago to an early modern conference I was involved in (we didn't accept it).

Going for a bargain -- my chapter on Dunwich as a major site for touring Elizabethan companies (even while it was disappearing into the sea) is in great company in this gorgeous volume!

This new article is about attempts by thieves to break open safes containing the takings from Love on the Dole, having hidden overnight in the theatre after the play:
