Of films I’ve seen most likely to get People’s Choice is ELSINORE - and my choice for Canadian award winner is SUNBURN #TIFF26

THE VIOLINIST was gorgeous, with a score that builds so it can gently coax the tears out as the story builds. Fantastic. #TIFF26

THE SURGEON was fun! Fun for someone who likes midnight madness level violence but also would enjoy an elegant contemplation on coming to terms with end of life or retirement. Best bone crunching sound work. #TIFF26

UNION TOWN was ok but I preferred the approach of the 2024 UNION doc that spent more time with the Amazon workers trying to organize. #TIFF26

SUNBURN was the feeling of a timeless summer day when the pool is drained but the vibes are immaculate. Facts. #TIFF26

The ladies bathroom lines at Scotiabank are at critical levels. Time to test my kegels in this next one I guess #TIFF26

THE JULIA SET was a sports film in the problem solving, a love story in the friendship, and a horror movie in the relationship. Overall fantastic. #TIFF26

IN ALASKA was harrowing and beautiful #TIFF26

RAPINOE - I love starting with a doc, and this exploration a life, a career, a family and a mindset was the perfect first film of #TIFF26
