Hi Steve! Thank you for spreading the word about NaNo 2.0!

PS: Our plans to build a browser-based espresso dispenser sadly did not pan out. Next year! nano2.org/posts/2026/f...
Thank you, Soren! That makes my day to hear NaNo has had a positive impact on your life! And I couldn't agree more about that wide-open magic of a first draft. Good luck in November!
I have used and loved Slack everywhere Iāve worked for the past decade. I still donāt understand the difference between these two tiles.

Tired of doomscrolling? Exhausted by the AI-ification of everything? Escape it all with a month-long vacation to novel-land!
The 28th-annual #NaNoWriMo kicks off November 1, and weāll be writing charmingly terrible first drafts together. Come join us!
Exterminator insists these are terrestrial mice. Iām dubious.
Update: Nothing on the footage. Whatever is leaving pellets down there is likely supernatural in origin.

How much money could they possibly be making from these scams? It feels too niche to be worth the time. But maybe AI is making it easy to do at scale? So weird.
Does anyone else get weird book publicity scam emails all the time? Here's a screenshot of an email I got today generously offering me āpermanentā placement in a Goodreads community called Around the Year in 52 Books. The next screenshot is the first pinned post in that community. š
You know what's nice? A cosmic crisp apple. #apple
On the NaNo 2.0 blog, I shared some effective techniques for hiding your tears from beta readers: nano2.org/posts/2026/1...
Fact: I will never not click on an article about someone discovering Viking treasure buried in their yard.
Hard to beat a good hoard story.
