@tinseltine.bsky.socialT&T #MiniMovieReview VERITY is a "slow non-burn". It keeps promising something juicy around the corner, but when we finally get there, the payoff feels more like a shrug than a shock... More letterboxd.com/tinseltine/f...

@tinseltine.bsky.socialFORGOTTEN ISLAND - chemistry, friction, trust, and an emotional reason for why they need each other.
THE CHRISTOPHERS - Falls short, the execution never quite jells.
YOU HAD TO BE THERE - Fascinating and what a coincidence!
SENSE AND SENSIBILITY - A sturdy, bucolic production.

@tinseltine.bsky.socialOkay, just read your review, and nope you didn't convince me that it was a seductive 2 hours. It was a very slow, can't call it a burn, more like lukewarm, with no satisfying payoff.
@tinseltine.bsky.socialThe @nytimes.com 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century seems pretty accurate, but Gilmore Girls ranked at #99, I think at least #72. Game of Thrones should be #3
and I think The Magicians should have made the list!

@tinseltine.bsky.socialCan't wait to read your reasoning cause I thought this was terrible. Worse then the last Colleen Hoover book made into a movie. How they got two A list actors to do this movie is beyond me.

@tinseltine.bsky.socialT&T #MiniMovieReview PRIMETIME dir. Lance Oppenheim. The gritty, washed out production design, strange angles, extreme close-ups, shifting formats, lighting, saturated colors and increasingly manic editing create a reality that feels just slightly warped... letterboxd.com/tinseltine/f...
@tinseltine.bsky.socialT&T #MiniMovieReview HA-CHAN, SHAKE YOUR BOOTY! Novel, odd and occasionally very sweet. Starring Rinko Kikuchi as a ballroom dancing widow. Director Josef Kubota Wladyka describes the film as an homage to the spirit of his mother rather than a biography... letterboxd.com/tinseltine/f...
@tinseltine.bsky.socialMy ★★★ review of PRACTICAL MAGIC 2 (2026) - The plot hangs together better, maybe a bit long, but the tonal shifts aren't quite as jarring. Perhaps some of the sisterly moments between Sally and Gilly feel a little forced... letterboxd.com/tinseltine/f...

@tinseltine.bsky.socialT&T #MiniMovieReview THE DOG STARS dir. Ridley Scott. The 1st half of the movie is deliberately slow, immersing us in the bleakness, danger & monotonous routine of survival. Scott leans into loneliness, vigilance, grief and..
