The dimensions, in this case (8.0) 8.6 - 9.8 (11.2) × (4.1) 4.3 - 4.7 (5.3) µm ; Q = (1.7) 1.9 - 2.2 (2.3) ; N = 48 ; Me = 9.2 × 4.5 µm ; Qe = 2.1 are far more important, as well as the description of shape, colour and texture, like almond-shape, light brownish, with fine, small warts.

The usefulness is not the display but the measuring. The display itself is just a handy way to display those measurements and show how those spores look at the same time. Therere is a software for mushroom microscopy, piximètre, that can export such graphics out of your measurements.

Beautiful picture! Nonetheless, this is not Galerina marginata, but a species of Pholiotina. Probably Pholiotina rugosa or something similar, but I would have to look at the literature.

Don't know why I forgot to take the good camera with me today as I went to see if they're already out, but well. The mushroom is beautiful nonetheless.
