Thank you so much, @letomagic.bsky.social, for donating your #zines to the #HannoverZineLibrary and for the inspiring conversation! Now I need to order some colourful staples. 🙃📚✂️

I have always loved Becky Chambers' books, but today I also learned that she makes zines, so how cool is that?

Mask wearing at #CZF2026 was maybe 33%. We did our best. A very sincere thank you to everyone who was willing to mask up for Chicago Zine Fest! 💗

Photo of people at a moderately crowded event. About half the people are wearing face masks.

More people looking at zines at tablers. In this photo, the two exhibitors are wearing masks, but few visitors are.

past me: "Oh I'll just make a new zine real quick before the fest." current me: You dumb motherfucker.

A wooden floor with a mess of paper copies spread out on the ground. Also visible is a paper cutter, a stapler, and a home printer.

When cataloguing, I have to look at every zine in the collection. If I no longer remember what it’s about, I even read it again.

Das aufgeschlagene Zine zeigt ein Portrait von Aaron Schwartz und den Satz “Providing scientific articles to those at elite universities in the First World but not to the children in the Global South? It's outrageous and unacceptable”.

📣 Brand new zine published to celebrate Labor Day: "Don’t Cross the Picket Line : Strike Solidarity for Beginners." Free to print or read online at violetbfox.info/dontcross/.

This 24-page zine was created for anyone who's *not* part of a union and doesn't know much about unions or strikes.

I’ve been collecting #zines for a good two decades now, sometimes more intensively, sometimes less. Since my work involves #openness in its […]
