Y’all, I hate to rain on the dead bot parade, but the Yandex data center destruction doesn’t seem to have significantly impacted social media bots. I made temporal graphs of X posts about AfD around the time of the attack and there’s no sign of a sudden dip or residual impact on that conversation.
I think I watched this at the time
After winning the "Miss Food Industry" pageant in 1951, the sky was truly the limit for Bettie Page.
For one of my all too rare excursions into Substack, I penned a piece about Thea von Harbou, Fritz Lang’s wife. And, oh, did you know she was a Nazi?
This is an absolutely amazing documentary. Good choice
The long-awaited next episode in our Donald Pleasence season is available now on all platforms. Join us as we head to Venice to hunt Nosferatu!
Available as part of the @filmstoriespodnet.bsky.social:
And yet another podcast episode done: This time guesting on Bloody Pit of Rod's show discussing "Die Schlangengrube und das Pendel" aka "The Snakepit and the Pendulum" aka, gulp, err...., "The Torture Chamber of Dr Sadism".
I mean...our latest novella is free, D.J. 😏
It's a dope entry in the Bartender series, says at least one reader and the two hostages we keep in the PoI dungeon!
Got lots of bone crunching action, sarcastic humor, and a social presence.
Sadly, still no luck. Here's all memories - it is Irish or Irish-American - everyone thinks the narrator is normal and boring, maybe an accountant - he is a hit-man, employed unwittingly by his brother-in-law -proved his worth by underlining a phone book in a bar, on a single name, and killing them.
If only I had known about this place a few months ago when I visited Prague
Old Turkish western spotted on my travels in Istanbul. No idea who the artist was but the cover inspiration is pretty obvious.
And I nearly forgot that I also covered *The obscure French 1970s TV series LES COMPAGNONS D'ÉLEUSIS and its two accompanying novels
*Cornell Woolrich's RENDEZVOUS IN BLACK and its influence on SEVEN BLOOD-STAINED ORCIHDS and *My favourite 5 Rialto Edgar Wallace movies (no preview here cause that would be telling) Plus much more by Boris Brosowski and other contributors.
*The final two CCC Dr Mabuse films
*Bryan Edgar Wallace's THE WHITE CARPET and its "adaptation" THE MAD EXECUTIONERS
Contributions by me include articles about: *Penelope Wallace's novels and short stories (from what I can tell the first time anyone ever did this)
The second official issue of the KRIMI magazine has now been released!
It can be ordered in soft- or hardcover via:
Amazon US - amzn.to/4xYvlGa
Amazon UK - link.amazon/B06CZxy3g
Or any of the other regional Amazon sites.
It's a good time to be a Krimi Fan. @vinsyn.bsky.social to release three Rialto Edgar Wallace films on Blu-ray.
I'm aware of the Studio One version but it's lost. Wasn't aware there was another one in Tales from the Unknown. Do I detect another walkthrough for you?
