@futura4climate.bsky.social#FUTURAKickoff Day 3 - closing day!
Three intensive & inspiring days of discussions, breakout sessions and collaborative work are drawing to a close! 🌍
We leave Milan hopeful, energised & ready for the exciting work ahead. Our shared journey into the FUTURA is only beginning! 🚀
@futura4climate.bsky.socialđź’ˇThis morning at the #FUTURAkickoff, we explored the co-design process of the FUTURA Outlook, the pathway to effective project management & the dissemination, exploitation & communication of the project.
👉All essential for turning excellent research into lasting impact.
@futura4climate.bsky.socialDay 2 of the #FUTURAkickoff is in full swing!
Our thematic workshops are exploring plausible climate pathways, carbon and climate feedbacks, extremes, risks and impacts - while advancing FUTURA demonstrators & research infrastructure.
@projectconcerto.euReposted by @futura4climate.bsky.socialđź‘‹We welcome the @futura4climate.bsky.social project that connects #climate projections, impacts and risk pathways.
Together, FUTURA and CONCCERTO will strengthen links between climate #science and actionable #knowledge for future climate risks.
@wimthiery.euReposted by @futura4climate.bsky.socialThe FUTURA project will bridge IAM, SCM, ESM, RCM, IM and emulator communities working on climate projections in Europe. Stay tuned for many exciting research and science-policy interfacing in the coming years! @hydr-vub.bsky.social
@futura4climate.bsky.socialDay 2 begins with climate ambition.
Our morning plenary considers efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C and how co-design and strong science-policy connections can make FUTURA’s research relevant and usable.
@futura4climate.bsky.socialDay 1 of #FUTURAkickoff continues with collaboration in action!
👉 FUTURA & sister projects held a joint session, talking about connecting models & infrastructure
👉 cross-WP groups turned shared objectives into tasks & plans
👉 thematic breakout groups provided the floor for a deep dive on tasks!
@futura4climate.bsky.socialFrom regional climate projections and future scenarios to impacts, emulators and the “model multiverse”: the first scientific plenary of the #FUTURAkickoff is exploring how FUTURA’s different components will work together!
Stay tuned for more updates!
@futura4climate.bsky.social🚀Welcome to the FUTURA!
Our kick-off meeting has officially begun in Milan. Over the next 3 days, partners will work together to shape a new generation of integrated, policy-relevant climate pathways.
Follow the meeting here!
@futura4climate.bsky.socialThe FUTURA project kicks off in person next week!🚀
From 23–25 September, all project partners will gather in Milan to explore the project’s key themes, plan the work ahead and meet as a consortium for the first time.
We are excited to begin this journey together!✨
@futura4climate.bsky.social🎯 As part of FUTURA, @cnrs.fr’s Freddy Bouchet will host a ClimTip webinar on how new maths, simulations and AI can help assess unprecedented climate extremes and tipping points.
