This is ridiculous as a national strategy.
Acre for acre solar PV delivers about 20 times more energy than biomethane.

WE WON. Lead in gunshot will finally be banned across the EU! Just now, the European Parliament approved in plenary the Commission's proposal to restrict lead in gunshot. This decision ends years of debate on one of Europe's most persistent forms of lead pollution.
🚨 NEW REPORT: The pesticide industry didn't just lobby on the EU's Food & Feed Omnibus. More like they co-wrote it. This report shows how.

Put they have patience and staying power.
Yesterday was a bad day for nature as virtually no new funding was announced.
The guessing and uncertainty as how Ireland's Nature Restoration Plan is to be funded goes on.
If we could get endangered wildlife to run around a race track they'd have a better chance at getting support from this government.
📢 10k farmers and citizens demanded stronger #pesticide rules and an end to the export of banned pesticides + accountability for water & soil pollution at the #Syngenta factory in Normandy 🇫🇷. A 2nd protest took place in🇨🇭.

‘Jaw-dropping’ El Niño bursts through temperature record months before peak
The planet is entering uncharted territory.
The Government are proposing that a developer building up to 250 houses won't have to assess at even a basic level the impacts of that development on the environment.

Breaking news: invasion of wild boar! They destroy gardens and scatter rubbish. This is a good example from Portugal of how media coverage can sensationalise human–wildlife conflict. A few wild boar are simply foraging through a town, where food waste is readily available

After a month of very little rain the Ballynastockan Brook is still flowing into Poulaphouca helping to supply Dublin City with water. Take care of our uplands and they will take care of us.
