Sorry for shipping delays this week--we're attending to a couple of family matters.
Much like teaching/coaching...it's hard...and your bosses don't seem to get it and throw obstacles in your way regularly
These are pallets of Sweeping Satellites...complete at the factory, now waiting for shipment to port so they can ship to us!!
Initial estimate arrival here: 24 OCT
Teaching to the test is exactly what I was going to comment. Really, the only way to avoid that is to change the test. Also--I don't think the person at the top understands leadership is an art as much as it is science.
Practice for a test, teach to a test--you get better at that one test. You don't get #education.
I've never seen a teacher who likes standardized tests or finds them valuable. I've rarely seen an administrator who feels that way though.
The @playersaidblog.bsky.social did a pair of interviews with Yoni (designer of Nights of King Ludd). We put links to those in our latest #kickstarter update.
We have some almost-finished art (wordings will change and there's no icons under the card titles yet) Consider backing!! It is a timely game about the tension between business ownership, workers, and technology
Looks like C68 was going down to the wire...
Another #Kickstarter update for Nights of King Ludd. It's interesting--quite a few women were involved in the protests against rapid technological change.
Sharks! by @thedietzfoundation.bsky.social was another Pacificon pickup. Any game that has a nautical theme grabs my wife's attention. Any game about sharks is practically a must buy. I was a little surprised to see Sharks! in the midst of a rack otherwise full of Heavy Serious Wargames Yo.
It's more cutthroat with adults...kids tend to be more interested in what they eat rather than forcing others to eat garbage!
Our next historical update for Nights of King Ludd is out!! Consider backing the #game!
1/3 through #crowdfunding...we've reached the goal--but please check the #game out...its subject is quite timely
#Education's a big deal for us. Mitch is a teacher the Foundation supports (he's also a relative, for posterity).
*EXCITING* he's a candidate for #Iowa State Teacher of the Year--because he does amazing things with children in his classroom!!
Baltic is in da (ware)house!!! We'll start prepping orders this afternoon with the intent of getting everything out on Monday!!
4th update for King Ludd is available...and wild to be wayyy over our funding goal! (And thanks to everyone who has backed!!)
I'm always intrigued by games that can be used in #school, especially younger students...and especially if resources are available for *FREE* for teachers...
Ludd's at 200%. Today's update links to commentary from Dan Thurot and his thoughts on the game. Dan's writing is always worthwhile whether you agree with him or not--because he'll make you *THINK*
Part 1 of my interview with @playersaidblog.bsky.social, discussing "The Nights of King Ludd: The Luddite War on Industry, 1811-?", a new collaborative game of machine smashing and industrial sabotage:

We're at 200% of what we needed--so really, it's now just about people wanting a cool game about a timely concept (tech/work) that we're looking to make FEEL like it's straight out of 1811.
