The bundle linked here is actually one place you can see the results of that, the Epub file of my book in there was assembled and exported with @bytebinding.com.
Let's go! 🚀 Good luck with the bundle!
In the next version of Byte Binding, you will see when your custom fonts cannot render the inline formatting you want, both in the editor and as a part of the Preflight check before every export. Never ship a malformatted book.
Going to be working on reconstructing and replacing all the Epub files on my Itchio page with @bytebinding.com. They're actually gonna look (at least somewhat) like I want them to, for once!
If there's anything we can do to make them look exactly as you want to, don't hesitate to let us know! ❤️
The issue does not affect the actual license ownership (it physically cannot) so re-activating your license from within the app should fix it. This is a great opportunity for us to tighten our infra to make sure this never happens in the future.
As we are working toward the public release, we've been improving the continuous delivery infrastructure we have, which resulted in the re-rolling of license secrets. We suspect that caused the activated licenses on user machines to be flagged as invalid.
We are receiving some reports that paid licenses might be reset after the latest update. If you're experiencing this, please re-activate your license in the menu > My License > Activate license.
Byte Binding v0.3.0 is out. It adds Apple Intel support, global search, element tree, and a ton of bug fixes, stability and performance improvements.
Tightening the screws before the next release...
We have settled on the release date and now full-steaming toward that milestone. The future of EPUB is coming in 2026.
