Yes definitely, but I would think existing laws cover that. I want liability where there's no criminal intent, to address the "🤷 sorry guv, was a 'rogue' agent, what you going to do, imagine the upside...etc" excuse from Altman et al.

If you made the user liable too, aka gun law, then that would likely kill the business model of the AI firms; as I think people would stop using the agents altogether (since you can't control their actions once tasked). Might not be a bad thing, but probably an unintended consequence, right?

Sounds about right. But that model will fail.

The companies making the agents, and their directors, should be made criminally liable for the actions of the agents. Further all work on frontier models should be immediately halted, by executive order or whatever means, until any necessary criminal legislation is put in place. Won't happen though.

Just played this as OFJH. The play experience is like reading polemical long form journalism. The target is the drug companies. The twist is you play as the drug company. The activist is your enemy, the corrupt doctor your friend. It's very well done.

I'm very much in favour of the rules too. However, currently to comply I will need to register with 27 separate EU member state bodies, each charging separate fees, sometimes several hundred euros a year, and each with separate data requirements, sometimes not in English. It's not worth it for me.

My company Sapper Studio has the same problem. I think I now need to stop all direct sales to the EU 😕. The EU's PPWR is much worse than the new US tariffs for us.
