I think the fact that as an indie creator you're basically expected to have a public discord for ur fans to hang out with you is actually really harmful. Like, I shouldn't be disappointed that I can't hang out with the person who made my favourite thing just because it's niche. I would never 1/2

If you're a game studio and you're releasing on PC you should have at least 50% of your testers be keyboard players. Maybe then you'll ship your game with a decent set of binds for once. I STG The amount of games I see still coming out with the most glorpshit default keybinds is staggering.

(It's also one of the few children's gameshows from that era that still holds up to adult scrutiny, likely due to all of the effects relevant to the enforcement of the game rules being practical - as opposed to something like raven where the game rules are enforced by make believe and vfx in post)

I grew up with Trapped! on CBBC and while that's not exactly a *death* game it was close enough, child me fully believed they were getting trapped in there forever.

How to fix: write "unconventional soundtrack" in the features list on the download page.

Also, who's to say you can't root for someone like Pinn, or Scott? (Pilgrim) You absolutely can, it's just - you're not rooting for them to win or get what they want, you're rooting for them to grow, change, and become a better person.

People these days don't understand that the protagonist doesn't gotta be someone you're rooting for. They can be a bad person, or just someone who makes some personally objectionable decisions. They just gotta be interesting.
