two things are true: + Meta et al. are blatantly using disabled people to whitewash the awful reputation of their "pervert glasses" and blurring the lines with assistive tech + it will be very difficult to legislate against "pervert glasses" without infringing on the rights of disabled people

This is advertised in the Liberties for €700 per person per month. Something major needs to happen about landlords.

One year ago, Betty Lachgar was sentenced to 30 months in prison for peaceful expression. She's still behind bars and urgently needs surgery that could prevent the amputation of her arm. Help keep up the pressure for her release: a.allout.org/s/Wq8bV/

Ireland has been enjoying a period of unprecedented wealth and yet: "The harsh reality is that State funding per student is now over 30% lower in real terms than in 2008. This country ranks 36th out of 37 OECD countries for investment in higher education as a share of GDP". If not now, when?

Today saw a really significant strike- the biggest in, really, decades. It happened because the people in the Government (politicians and civil service management alike) had no experience with how to address a strike. It had never happened to them and they were all over the shop in responding.

Was Korea a short film? I think I saw it in the lighthouse as a pre feature screening in the lighthouse when it was on abbey street

Solidarity with our striking public service workers tomorrow, and remember; Chief O'Brien could transport you anywhere, but he'd never beam you over a picket line.

I am going on #strike tomorrow. In higher ed, state funding per student is about 30% lower than in 2008. The Government’s own acknowledged funding gap of roughly €300m a year is still unfilled; this means bigger classes and heavier workloads- e.g., I have 520 students in my first-year module.

I work with a lovely person who's a really dedicated hard worker. They've just quit because their landlords ended the lease and they won't be able to find or afford a new place in Dublin. It's horrible for them. It's also unfair to the public to lose that good of a person from the public sector.

Good luck to all striking public sector workers tomorrow. May the rain and wind stay away. If you work in higher ed, please respect the strike. Don't reschedule lectures or hold them online. Don't reply to emails. After all, solidarity benefits us all. Up the workers ✊️💪
