🎨🖼️ Visited the Williamson Art Gallery in Oxton today and saw a painting to match the weather, 'Wind and Rain on Green Corn' (near Eastham) c.1853 painted by Robert Tongue 1823-1856. Showing as part of their Pre-Raphaelite Collection Exhibition.

Family historian of many years standing, very amateur photographer, interested in local history (Wirral & Liverpool), walking, running, gardening. Happily retired 😄 with time to dabble in all sorts.
It was my husband’s guess … and I don’t know either!

Family history nuts &bolts is a great book - full of little inspiring ideas!
It’s a W shape on the causeways - all private Lever Estate.
On second thoughts, no 4 is Brimstage. I’ve just done the first parkrun there and had an epiphany!

👀 "Nearly 10 years ago, Nigel Farage told LBC he would leave the country if Brexit were not a stunning success. For reasons that no one can quite fathom, he is still here."
We spent a wedding anniversary there - it was lovely, and we were well looked after (even if the cheapest bottle of wine was rather expensive …)

Yup.
@daveyph.bsky.social Google seems to think it's a stink pipe. McDowell and Steven certainly made these (as well as plenty of other things). Thanks for an interesting walk & talk. #Wirral #Birkenhead Hamilton Square
A mis-transcription makes for a challenge - but I’m on it!
Liar. Small boat crossings peaked under Johnson in 2022 reaching 46,000 in 2022. In current year they are 18,565 and falling. Also prior to Boris Johnson's Brexit there were none.
