When LGBT+ people in Türkiye are targeted, community is power. The attention and solidarity of the international LGBTQIA+ community is part of that power.

It creates witnesses. It makes silence harder. It reminds people facing repression that they are seen, supported and not alone.

Disasters highlight the gap some LGBTQIA+ people experience in biological support networks.

Defining a system by rigid, western standards risks excluding many.
