1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, but early detection can make all the difference. Don’t put off your mammogram, and encourage friends and loved ones to get screened, too. This October, remember to care for yourself, and take care of each other: breastcancer.org 🩷

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re teaming up to remind our community that early detection saves lives. As a physician and a breast cancer survivor, we know how important it is to get screened.

Nobody should have to skip a doctor’s appointment because they can’t afford it. Doctor @christianforky.bsky.social has spent decades making sure people got care, and now she is taking that fight to Frankfort.

That’s the kind of leadership I’ll bring to Frankfort as your next State Senator for District 6: leadership that listens, cares for all Kentuckians, and always answers your call. #CaringforKentucky💙💛

I spoke alongside the bill’s sponsor, one of the longest serving Republicans in the Senate. Working with a Democratic sponsor in the House, the bill passed and was signed into law with overwhelming bipartisan support.

Ten years ago, members of both parties invited me to Frankfort to testify on legislation ensuring patients’ wishes were honored by their doctors and loved ones.

Thank you to Burkhardt Farms, the Trimble County Cattlemen's Association, and Trimble Extension office for hosting today’s Regional Beef Feld Day. Great to be with producers from across the region to support beef cattle production and keep Kentucky agriculture strong 🐂🍀 #CaringforKentuckyFarms

Thanks to the princesses, Spider-men, Blueys, Bingos, Marios, soldiers, police, penguins, and even a few future doctors who reminded us “don’t boo, vote!” #CaringforKentucky🎃👻

What a turnout for our Candy Election 🍫🗳️ at the Haunted Hike 🎃 in Creasey Mahan! The votes are in (and the candy eaten), and the winner is Kit Kat at 25%, just beating out Reese’s at 23% - a sweet way to learn that every vote matters!

Started October with burgoo in Bedford, a meet and greet in Milton, and the Joe Phelps Memorial Clay Shoot! We knocked doors from Milton down to the county park, and had great conversations with Bonnie, Barbara, Rick, Peter, and so many more.

Today, I carried those concerns with me to Frankfort, where I joined kydeservesmoore.bsky.social, other officials and candidates, and concerned Kentuckians speaking out on data centers and their impact on communities across our Commonwealth. #CaringforKentucky💙💛

I was grateful to visit Weasie at her farm for one of my House Calls to talk about the incredible response we’ve seen since we first met, how we can better protect Kentucky’s natural resources and family farms, and why we need to repeal these careless tax breaks.

In the spring of 2025, I met Weasie and her husband when they spoke to the Prospect City Council about their concerns over plans for data centers. Only weeks earlier, the legislature, including our current Senator, had voted to approve 50 years of tax breaks for data centers.

As a physician, I’ve spent my career putting those values into practice, caring for veterans, older adults, and families, and I’m running to bring that same compassion, service, and care to Frankfort. Join us at 3pm today at the Arterburn in Louisville to rally with Andy! 🗳️ #CaringforKentucky💙💛
