New data shows ectopic pregnancy deaths are rising, with higher rates in states with strict abortion bans. Here in Alabama, ectopic pregnancy care is legally allowed but what does reproductive healthcare look like when getting care in time can be the difference between life and death?

October is Menopause Awareness Month and we sat down with Omisade Burney-Scott of Black Girls Guide to Surviving Menopause to talk about Black people navigating menopause trusting themselves and having the support they need. What’s something you wish you knew or want to know about menopause?

Monday marked International Safe Abortion Day, but the fight for safe, accessible abortion care continues every day. This year’s theme, Solidarity in Action, reminds us that reproductive justice means building systems of care where everyone has the support to make decisions about their bodies.

HIV stigma doesn’t disappear with pregnancy or parenthood. At #USCHA2026, we spoke with Marnina Miller of Positive Women’s Network-USA about HIV stigma in maternal health and why reproductive justice must include care rooted in dignity and autonomy for people living with HIV.

“Having bodily autonomy as a Black and Brown person, period, is our birthright.” Last month, Yellowhammer Fund joined community educators Zsa Zsa and Bomani for Black August to explore the connections between Black liberation, reproductive justice, and the fight for bodily autonomy.
