A follow-up is useful when a decision genuinely needs more information. It is not useful when nobody wanted to make the call. That is how one unresolved question becomes three more meetings.
When motivation is missing, I give the work 20 minutes. Not to finish the project. To make it real enough that the next move becomes obvious. Open the document. Write the outline. Send the note. Name the decision. Motivation may follow. It does not need to arrive first.
The idea is not the advantage. The advantage is building it, testing it, finding collaborators, and staying with it when the work gets hard. An idea cannot improve, attract the right people, or become real while it is protected inside your head.
