EU Commissioner for Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration 🇵🇱🇪🇺
@piotrserafin.bsky.socialA modern #EUbudget is not about “how much do I put in, and how much do I get out?”
It is about what we can achieve together that no Member State can achieve alone.
That is European added value.

@piotrserafin.bsky.social🇵🇱🇪🇺 Dziś w Brukseli smakowała Polska! Dzięki Ministerstwu Rolnictwa i Rozwoju Wsi i Ministrowi Stefanowi Krajewskiemu komisarze europejscy spróbowali polskich lokalnych specjałów ➡️ od tradycyjnych wędlin i sera korycińskiego po jabłka grójeckie, miód drahimski i rogala świętomarcińskiego.
@piotrserafin.bsky.socialWith 🇱🇹 Finance Minister Taurimas Taurimas on his first visit to @ec.europa.eu in his new role. Lithuania will take over the EU Council presidency at a crucial moment for the next #EUBudget.
@piotrserafin.bsky.socialThe next #EUbudget focuses more than ever on competitiveness, defence & security. This is necessary to tackle challenges that no one can address alone. We did not simply add new spending to the old. A serious change in priorities is already reflected in the Commission’s proposal.
@piotrserafin.bsky.socialNice to meet with Tánaiste Simon Harris, Ireland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance 🇮🇪🇪🇺 We discussed the next EU long-term budget and the 2027 annual budget. Eager to work together to deliver both on time and keep the EU focused on its priorities.
@piotrserafin.bsky.socialToday in Dublin, we discussed putting competitiveness and security at the heart of the #EUbudget
When it comes to investing in these priorities, business as usual is not an option. We cannot compete globally or protect ourselves without pooling our resources more than ever before
@piotrserafin.bsky.socialA strong #EUbudget requires ambition, as well as sound and sustainable financing to match it.
Good to exchange with Minister Benjamin Haddad 🇫🇷🇪🇺 on how we can build the right foundations for Europe’s next long-term budget
