HER2-positive breast cancer is associated with aggressive tumors and poorer outcomes. Surgery is often the best option to remove these tumors, and many patients receive neoadjuvant therapy to shrink them first, making removal easier. But how do we know the therapy is working?

The hosts of this SNMMI podcast episode have extensive reading lists, but they’re not New York Times best sellers — they’re images of the human brain. But the use of the amyloid and tau PET scans isn’t nearly as widespread as it could be, mainly due to implementation barriers.

Biopsies are an invasive way to diagnose prostate cancer, yet they remain the standard. Even when guided by MRI, 20-30% of cases can still be missed when there are negative or inconclusive images, leading to repeated biopsies. But PSMA PET/CT may offer patients another path.
