wip for my guide to how i use calibre to how organize my fanfiction 😊 i think my text glow on hover effects are slowing down the page but they make me so happy lol

so this lets me easily see like, fics in x fandom but excluding y ship (if I've made a category for that ship) - and all this info also lets me generate covers easily

also collections is a separate sorting system from tags and they can be listed under more than one so like, fandom is a collection, and so is favorites etc

my calibre/fanficfare import setup was so much effort to set up tbh maybe I'll make a little guide about how I did it + what resources I used, if anyone would be interested in that

i catalogue my fics in calibre and I have one field that's just the tags I haven't mass deleted (things I might actually search for) and one field where I managed to get "additional tags" to import as text in their original order for when the tags have important info in them

so true

big mood and this is so relatable lmao i just spent hours organizing my fanart bookmarks with plans to do fanfics next 🥲

a few months ago I reread it with the thought that maybe it would get me out of burnout so i could write my fic, but instead it led to me just reading fic nonstop for months 🥲
