Congratulations to the Tenants and Workers Community Impact Awardees and congratulations to TWU on their 40th anniversary! TWU has brought real change to our community, working to secure and protect the rights of our most vulnerable neighbors, and I am proud to support them in their mission.

I drove tens of thousands of pieces of stationary home from Richmond and to my local printers to update my constituents on legislative accomplishments from the year. The letters should arrive soon! For more frequent updates, sign up for my email newsletter on my website elizabethforva.com

I had a great time at the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food and Agriculture's Farm Dinner, benefitting their Veteran Farmer Program, which helps veterans pursue new careers in farming. I'm so grateful for Arcadia’s work improving sustainability and access to healthy food in our community.

It was great to learn about the history of Meade Memorial and their committed service to the community as well. You can be a food rescuer too. You can download the app and sign up to volunteer here: foodrescue.us/rescue-food/...

It's #FoodWastePreventionWeek and today, I was proud to do a food rescue through Food Rescue US with a constituent! We picked up leftover pizzas from We The Pizza in Crystal City and dropped them off at Meade Memorial Episcopal Church in Old Town, which offers lunch 5-6 days a week to those in need.

Fetch isn’t happening, but my first fundraiser since becoming one of the youngest state senators is. Can’t make it on 10/3? You can still support your favorite millennial state senator at the same link: secure.actblue.com/donate/ebp1003

Yesterday evening, I joined my colleagues in the Alexandria delegation of the General Assembly and the Alexandria City Council for their Legislative Work Session. I appreciated the opportunity to share my priorities and my thoughts on the items on their minds.
