I'll double check, but I think I'm already up to date. There are a lot of sharp pionty things in my life right now

I'm awake at a stupid hour of the morning, and I already cut my foot on a loose nail in the floorboards. I might need a do-over for today.

Future generations of LARPers will cosplay you by sitting in a room pushing giant foam buttons. Now, get out your sweater and ride into battle properly.

My new Genre Grapevine covers the continuing issues with Must Read Magazines, the new owner of Asimov's, Analog and F&SF.

Must Read Magazines has pushed the patience of the science fiction and fantasy genre with secrecy, silence, bad contracts, and bad statements. www.patreon.com/jasonsanford...

Honestly... walking at night, going past something you think is a plastic coffin with a plastic rat and having a cat jump out at you would scare the crap out of most people.

I'm in enough trouble trying to remember what's in my back row of books without added challenges.

Unfortunately, the legal department tells me that name is already taken.

In light of some magazines pulling scummy things on creators lately, I’m doing a little thread on short story rights. I don't want anybody getting taken advantage of. Also, if you're new, this stuff can be confusing!

"Years after the war, a bartender looks after a customer stuck in his own past."

I'm happy to announce that my short story, On the House will be available in Bullet Points Issue 15 next Thursday. bulletpoints.nathantoronto.com

I think it's very circular. Authors are the reason they can't give the artists a fair contract, and artists are the reason they can't give authors a fair contract. See? The only solution is for everybody to work for free!

Ouch!

Truth in Advertising laws be damned! You wouldn't be able to sell Artificial Idiocy when we have so much of the real thing just lying around.

@klynn.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 5:09 PM

Well, go get your characters. They're making me sad.

I made cheeseckake and brownies... Do I also have to make lunch or is that technically a cheese sandwich?

The plot twist is that both the baby and the wife are previous robotics projects that no longer hold his attention.

Anomic aphasia, maybe? Describe it to your doctor, though. The context probably matters.

Take a sweater!
