SEXUAL CINÉMA VÉRITÉ: THE MMRC IN CONTEXT Oct. 16-20 In the late 60s, a group of sex-positive San Francisco religious leaders & homophile activists led by the Methodist Rev. Dr. Ted McIlvenna began producing & distributing films under the banner of the Multi-Media Resource Center.

VACANCES (2025) – FILMMAKER IN PERSON! Oct. 9-13 Photographer/filmmaker Victoria Hely-Hutchinson’s VACANCES is a deceptively unassuming mixture of warts-and-all family portraiture, subtle class exposé, and a depiction of a particular setting rendered with a miraculously tactile sense of presence.

BO HARWOOD — RECORD RELEASE EVENT! JOHN CASSAVETES’S THE KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE ON 35MM Sept. 27 This screening celebrates the launch of a new LP devoted to the work of Bo Harwood (1946-2022), the composer whose music appears throughout Cassavetes’s films, often made with his participation.
