To my mind the root of all our troubles can be traced to Hayek and Friedman. Neoliberalism is now coming to fruition i.e. billionaires and the eradication of any concept of community, health care and social well being. Thatcher and Reagan hatched the egg that Friedman laid.

They make it so hard for people to live, that its easy to forget the bigger picture. I think its the same over here. Its just that the US is so powerful that when it stumbles it affects the world far more than our tiny island. I am truly heartened to see so many kind, noble Americans resisting
