🔋 Charging devices under your pillow or on your bed may seem convenient, but it can trap heat & block airflow around the device & battery, causing it to overheat. Make sure to charge devices on a hard, flat surface like a table, desk, or floor. MORE: fpw.org.

🔌 Use the cord & charger that came w/ your device or ones approved by the manufacturer. Using the wrong charger can damage the battery & increase the fire risk. Help spread the word that everyday actions can help prevent lithium-ion battery fires. MORE: fpw.org.
