Rewatched this after several years. Still hits as hard as ever, but is now also year-appropriate. Dang. Also looks REALLY GOOD.

But yeah, finding out who made Townfall makes me happy :D

Story, setting and themes definitely, visuals and acting absolutely, constant jumpscares, avoiding millions of the same, copy pasted enemies from start to finish and the weirdly tile-based samey ancient Japanese dungeons, absolutely not. I forced myself to complete it once, then watched the rest.

Hmm, I was kinda tricked into playing the jumpscare simulator 2000 that was Silent Hill f, will have to do more research before playing something that's wearing the Silent Hill name in the future...

I could probably have learned Japanese in the meantime 🤔

I remember trying to play the original Japanese version back in 2006, so you could say I was waiting for this translation for twenty years 🙃
