Initial inquiries sent by me to Hants Police and the Home Office ahead of sets of detailed questions re what happened in Gosport last night. Aiming to find out the HO policy and reasoning for sending boats here and the police process and justification for the dispersal order.
Well I can't be right ALL the time...
At least today's coastal view is a peaceful one...

Got a nice little #Pompey prog column being baked on people's tenuous links to past or present PFC players or figures. It includes a tale headed 'My mother in law was good friends with Gordon Neave's wife' ... your contributions are welcome... the more tenuous the better!
Pompey fans: I've been collecting memories of 60s and 70s home/away PFC games for the prog column. As an offshoot of that, who was at Alan Knight's debut, Rotherham A, won 1-0, Apr 29, 1978, and what do you remember of it and of AK?

HMS Northumberland leaves Portsmouth Harbour for final time. Very few people out to see her off ... bet she holds a few stories...
Gosport’s People’s Park slowly taking shape…
A week on from the terrible loss of Alan Knight, this was my piece in Saturday's programme - with a plug for a further article on The Legend that will be in The News across Wednesday and Thursday - www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/por...
A Pompey win - and clean sheet - for the big man.
A one-off. Or Number 1-off.
So glad I got the chance to do this with - and about - Alan Knight for the 125 Yrs Pompey History book. Could have chatted to him all day for it, and almost did. He was pleased to be included in such a way. There's never been one like Knightsie before; there never will be again.
No, other end - field between GAFIRS and Fort Rd.
This is the site of one of two fires that occurred near Stokes Bay on Tuesday. Sad to see.
