Jingo Sentai Bioranger is a brilliant deconstruction of tokusatsu series, in that it demonstrated that battling superpowered alien monsters on a weekly basis is very dangerous, and the heroes sometimes get hurt. It further deconstructs the formula by having the heroes not always get along.
