Love Beach is a real shocker. I am sure it reinforced or even caused some people's dislike of the album.
A lot of the "worst" albums by otherwise great bands come down to contractual obligations. We have to do a new album but have zero ideas or intrest. Also record company interference is a factor, a lot of promisesing artists fall foul of some executives vision of a wider audience.
As a septuagenarian myself when you see a list like that it brings it home.

I am watching a performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons by The Academy of Ancient Music I recorded off Sky Arts a while back. They have a Therabo, the 17 century double necked lute. Very prog. 😄
Only 5 for me which is a surprise as there are so many albums in there I know well.
Sounds good. I will be seeing them in London next month. Second time this year for me as I was at the warmup gig in Southampton.
Tough to pick just one, but I go for Floyd. The Bristol Hippodrome was a decent venue it would have been good to see them there. The only time I saw them was the infamous Knebworth gig. I saw both Greenslade and Gentle Giant around that time
