I've always liked Selina Kyle's apartment in Batman Returns, with the way it conveys that, even though it's a bit cramped and rundown, with the girder on the right side seeming to symbolize the weight of the city coming down on her, it still has upbeat touches like the stuffed animals... 1/2

Yeah, but I get the feeling that calling it "The Texas Semi-Truck Massacre" wouldn't have had the same ring to it.

Wait, so the original TCM didn't actually have a chainsaw massacre in it? Sounds like that movie's a phony... a big fat phony!

...and the one time they accidentally shoot an innocent guy (who survives), they go way out of their way to exonerate him after initially framing him, all of which felt like an attempt to keep us from turning on the Strike Team too much as viewers, even though they're objectively filthy pigs.

I'd say an aspect of the show that bothers me more is the fact that, besides an incident in the pilot (which was a very unusual case), Vic & company only ever kill crooks (and REALLY BAD crooks at that), and never have any George Floyd-style incidents with an innocent civilian during the series...
