spent part of my trip home from open streets hennepin lamenting with bus driver over hourcar and the 24 hr bus lane we could have had on hennepin avenue while stuck in lyndale avenue traffic. it would be wonderful to live in a city that welcomed us folks who don’t own cars instead of sidelining us.

the solution is called Please Don’t Almost Hit Me With Your Car

Drivers in my neighborhood trying to turn right without looking while I am in the crosswalk with a walk sign on really seem to not like it when I politely say “Please don’t hit me with your car” when there is a very easy solution to that problem

Transit is a public good. And public goods should serve everyone. If Minnesotans found a way to build Light Rail for Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, and Hopkins, then let's do the same for North Minneapolis, Robbinsdale, Crystal, and Brooklyn Park. 6/
