😫 The problem was never that people would see me playing Hearthstone… This is just a level of WoW intimacy that I don’t want to extend to everyone! As a secondary option, a tier between bnet and character friend, sure, but not as the norm.

I do genuinely worry retail RP’s health. I’m afraid the best-case scenario is it becomes smaller and more niche, the worst case it spirals.

I really don’t think they have the luxury to proceed in the usual fashion through to the TLT reveal. They need to reclaim positive attention. I’ve seen some people say “they didn’t think wowf would be this popular!” but I think “they didn’t think retail would be struggling this bad” is also true.

I heard Tali say on stream the other day that he felt the retail devs were “being gracious” in giving wowf the spotlight right now but holy moly they’re not in a good position to be doing that right now. I’m sure they didn’t plan to be in such a lull when wowf was in beta, but it’s not good.
