I don’t think that word “evidence” means what you think it means. There is already a great deal of evidence before the public - enough that I’m comfortable with my assessment. That you don’t find it convincing is a you thing. Our values, experience, and legal training are likely not the same.

Would it shock these people to know that most crimes are not proved 100% but only beyond a reasonable doubt? No, they are fine with that standard in most every other case. I wonder what the difference is?

Clearly in this case, Crown could not make that case. Which speaks volumes on the lack of evidence since Crown gets a lot of leeway when it comes to terrorism charges

Hard concept for Americans to grasp, but when you are only accused and not convicted you are presumed innocent. The burden is on the Crown (aka the state) to show why the risk is so extraordinary, continued jail is worth the risk of depriving an innocent person of their liberty
