Just spontaneously, big plant questions: * How to adapt agriculture to climate change? * Can climate change and biodiversity loss be mitigated in ecosystems? * Can photosynthesis be optimized? * How did the mosses/tracheophytes split evolve (e.g. what did early land plants do with their stomata)?

A nice idea but wow is this a list that reveals us as a remarkably self-absorbed species. Some of us biologists do prefer to work on scientific questions unrelated to Homo sapiens, y’know!
