@houseofquiet.bsky.social6. Shipping News - Very Soon And In Pleasant Company. Only growing in magic, this record made me question everything I knew about dynamics and I've spent the years following it recommending it to anyone who'll listen. Brittle majesty at its finest. #my9albums
@houseofquiet.bsky.social5. Robert Johnson - King Of The Delta Blues Singers. Unreachable brilliance from one of the most confounding musicians in history. My sole listening for the best part of a year when I first heard it and utterly timeless. #my9albums
@houseofquiet.bsky.social4. Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasuredome. Peerless drama and the first record I ever bought. Black Night/White Light was a watershed moment. Utterly incredible after all these years, a masterpiece. #my9albums
@houseofquiet.bsky.social3. Manic Street Preachers - Gold Against The Soul. While I heard Everything Must go first and The Holy Bible tore right through me this is the one I'm still coming back to decades later. Violently underappreciated album from a band who covered serious ground. #my9albums
@houseofquiet.bsky.social2. Sun Ra - Aurora Borealis. Trying to choose a favourite Racord is challenging purely because of the sheer volume of it, but this has stuck with me. Total confidence, utter freedom, and truly showcasing the unbridled spirit of the greatest to ever do it. #my9albums
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialThis reminds me of early Facebook days but as I'm relatively new here;
1. Venom by Breach changed everything. A jet-black dungeon of crawling gravel from Sweden that both introduced me to hardcore and gave me an untamed feel that would stay with me forever. #my9albums
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialLast night's full performance is live on Bandcamp. Featuring performances from Dead Aries, Brandon Invergo, House Of Quiet and Archangel Complex. #improvisedmusic #ambientmusic

@houseofquiet.bsky.socialUtterly shattered. Couch time.
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialIt's looking like January then March but this is to be confirmed 👍
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialMany thanks indeed for both your pictures and attendance Andy!
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialLast night's show heading to Bandcamp presently.
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialBig up everyone from this evening, just a light load out to do then I get to sleep for a couple of hours 🥳
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialTomorrow is making me anxious. I'm not worried about the other musicians as I'm very excited to hear them. I'm not worried about the venue as I know what I'm in for. I'm worried about my approach and what I'm trying to accomplish. I wouldn't be nervous if I didn't care but I could do without it.
@brandoninvergo.bsky.socialReposted by @houseofquiet.bsky.socialCall me narcissistic, but... Practically all I've wanted to listen to all week are the accumulating, varied recordings of my rehearsals for this event here in Exeter tomorrow. Am I weird? Maybe. But I hope others will like it as much as I do. Can't wait to hear HoQ, HT, and Archangel Complex.
@brandoninvergo.bsky.socialReposted by @houseofquiet.bsky.socialSunday October 18 I'll do something weird and noisy alongside other weird and noisy musicians at Brood Parasite @ Cuckoo Taproom here in Exeter. You should come.
@brandoninvergo.bsky.socialReposted by @houseofquiet.bsky.socialThat time brief phase I went through where I was creating samples by recording sounds via the built-in mic on my Dell Latitude D620 business laptop -- super shitty -- and then arranging them manually one-by-one without quantisation.
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialSaturday satur-day Saturday
@houseofquiet.bsky.socialNot even 5am and I awake from another dream about something that felt too real. Not even a dramatic thing, just a regular thing. Now I will return to bed and try to catch up which will not work. Time is long smear punctuated by concern about being behind.
