Watch an ICE agent run down and then run over a man. The man was was then writhing on the ground, saying "You broke my leg! You broke my leg!" Agents didn't help him. And btw, the man wasn't the target of their operation.

In 1819, the Qasemi clan of Ras al-Khaimah, positioned astride the Strait of Hormuz, faced British warships dispatched at the behest of the East India Company to protect maritime trade from Qasemi attacks and efforts to levy tolls.

By the nineteenth century, the Portuguese and the Dutch had receded from the scene, and the British Indian naval and mercantile forces had become an integral part of the Persian Gulf, generating its own struggles and countervailing forces (see chapter 2). In December 1819, the East India Company called on British warships to intervene and protect shipping from the Qasemi and their bid to collect tolls. Accompanied by Omani forces, a fleet of British vessels and three thousand men were sent to confront "the Arab chiefs of the pirate coast" or, more precisely, bombard the Qasemi stronghold of Ras al-Khaimah. This was coupled with the Bombay-based British Navy burning Lengeh to the ground in the same year and East India Company cruisers bombing the Red Sea port of Mocha.

I double-checked this on a couple of Xitter stat sites and it's true. Average views of the main AfD account dropped 90% and average engagement dropped by 60%. This is commercial social media for you: bots, damn bots and Russian bots.
