I would really like to thank everyone that presented and attended @nextapp.bsky.social, and a special bigger thank you to the organisers and the volunteers and workers that made it all possible! Definitely a conference I will attend every year onwards!
Lando has to shoulder the biggest blame. Slippery conditions and this was a battle for a 1 point difference… Took out a teammate to then lose even more points.
Great analogy: “Some woodworkers might still use hand tools for a variety of reasons….But having a table saw doesn’t make you feel like you’ve asked somebody else to make the shelf, or table, or chair. The nature of automation with Large Language Model tools feels substantially different from […]
It's so limiting to just let AI do all the work for you. Sure it can do parts, but the fun is really making decisions and also coming up with novel solutions. Those come from your creativity and experiences, which AI can't experience for you.

Superb talk, very valuable knowledge! Thank you @tkuenneth.dev
Look at the number of words, he almost doubled Leclerc. He literally chats while driving!!

Ready for @nextapp.bsky.social
It's kind of tough for me to actually gauge if I'm aiming at the right place or not. But maybe it's pre conference jitters.
I’ve been quite entertained with SLMs and really exploring how to run ML on mobile. I really think we are ignoring some incredible things happening on the space all because Fable/Astra can make 3D blender renderings well.
Note to self, don’t trust programs to auto save in the age of vibe coding. Sometimes they don’t save progress and crash when you manually try to save…
I actually think the fearmongering around security is also the thing now. They see that between gens the models aren’t improving as much, open-weight competition is catching up so they must push the narrative on another feature. If they become “more secure” that will be their market “advantage”.
This will never stop blowing my mind. A 12-year sequence of real telescope images of a star 133 lightyears away. And around it, four planets slowly orbiting. Four real exoplanets, each more massive than Jupiter, imaged as they move around their host star.
