@adgstreet.bsky.socialDon’t worry - the end of the match saw it creep up!
@adgstreet.bsky.socialToday was the correction. Not a 5-0 game on the balance of play, but you can’t keep being this open and giving up this many chances without occasionally taking some bad losses. Something has to change. The question is what?
@adgstreet.bsky.socialIf only there were a phrase for a corresponding period of bad luck and underperformance following a period of good luck and overperformance.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialIf anyone wants some solace, we’ve only given up 0.29 in xG so far. Which is of course the real quiz.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialAu revoir

@adgstreet.bsky.socialThat table does show what I’ve been saying though
@adgstreet.bsky.socialHello everyone
@adgstreet.bsky.socialI also enjoyed the afternoon, before anyone berates me for looking at the numbers!
@adgstreet.bsky.socialWe’ve been worse than opposition on xG in every match and have the worst xGA in the league. That has to improve or the manager wont be here in the new year.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialThe first bit, I can very much see. The second bit, less so.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialI don’t think it’s a personnel issue either. The games this week could be instructive on direction.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialThe numbers of #cpfc season so far tell a story. We are currently massively over performing xG and have the worst defence in the league on chances given up. There will be a correction at some point.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialI clapped OG at the end. He helped us live the unthinkable.
@adgstreet.bsky.socialCheers Jack
@adgstreet.bsky.socialSorry for your loss mate. X
