As someone who uses ES periodically, the interior and catering are not the differentiator. We take our own drinks and snacks, and the seat is comfortable anyway. What we want is a price advantage. It’s mental that we pay more for the train than a flight.

I lied about your position? That makes no sense. It’s your position. I think you’re not all there, let’s leave it. I hope you get the help you need.
I don’t need Jack from you. I’m trying to understand what stops traditional liberal voters from voting to keep a demonstrable menace out. Your response is ad hominems and an absence of cogent counterpoint. Clap clap clap.
You should be less liberal with your use of ‘stupid’. I’m not the American here.
Could you point out the lie? These are all readily verifiable.
You are under an immense illusion if you believe that all the people who live and work in agriculture “own the means of production”. And certainly, farming is scientific these days, it remains overwhelmingly blue collar by definition.
Which? Turnout based on official figure - 64% voted, 36% stayed away. GOP vis a vis type of voter: check a county map to see who voted red… places with agriculture, low level manufacturing, menial work. And voted blue: cities and states where jobs are in the service industry and require education.
No, this is mostly down to apathy. Why? Because as dire as things are, the white collared, educated, traditional blue voters, still have it remarkably good. Good jobs, investments and house prices climbing, sustained standard of living. It drives me insane.
I think you have a very active imagination if you believe that a third of Americans are prevented from voting. GOP supporters dominate blue collar jobs where a boss might enforce working hours to prevent an employee leaving to vote. Somehow, that demographic moves mountains to vote red. //
To suggest they are simply GOP of a different flavour is disingenuous. For certain, the blue campaign currently reads like Anybody But Trump, which in any normal election would indeed be lazy. But right now, that’s the reality. America’s in trouble, and it’s all down to Trump.
