The Arks can be interfaced not only via the Ark Hub web dashboard, but also via the Ark CLI. It's compatible with macOS, Linux and Windows; is available on crates[.]io and Homebrew. Fully open source.
All the example apps on the Ark Hub are open source and available on GitHub. They are more of an introductory tutorial to get you up to speed on building your own apps. Go wild building and share it with others; the ark should keep everyone's data safe.
The Ark Companion mobile app is the security counterpart to the physical or emulated Arks, holding the half of the key needed to access data on an Ark. All operations, reads, writes, runs, reports auth through the phone like your usual 2FA flow. Available on iOS and Android.
The Ark Hub lets you connect to physical or emulated Arks, manage personal genomic datasets on your device, fetch reference datasets and run genomic analysis applications. The apps listed are examples, directory service coming in the future.
The Ark Emulator is a virtual machine running on your own computer, inside it the real ArkOS firmware. The shell is open source, the firmware itself is closed for now.
You can onboard the emulator on the Ark Hub (needs GitHub account, one live per user).
Good morning everyone, release time 🔥
The Ark Emulator is effective immediately available for anyone to download & run:
- Pair it with the Ark Companion mobile app
- Manage data and run apps through the Ark Hub
- Build new apps against your own genome
Good morning! We've decided to open up our Discord chat room for the general public. It's mostly silent, but come joins us and ask questions if you're curious.
It's been a long journey, but the dream is becoming reality: from Nature article to genetic analysis, at home.
