Hey. Compliment the artists you admire. They don't get (positive) feedback nearly as much as you think and social media is hell. Be kind and remind them that someone likes their work... you might just bring em out of a pit of despair or at least made their day better.

Here’s how we made Pat tower over Dr. Peaches in Episode 2 of The Incredible Growing Woman. Stick around for the reveal and a peek at the little details that help sell the illusion!

I agree with the Lost Souls doc being better than the film itself. Fairuza Balk is great in both.

The second novel happens faster than the first one Source: my first novel also took about three years and I'll be finishing my second one within eighteen months start to finish

I can't stop watching this Season 2 promo for The Sopranos. Advertising used to be so stupid (read: better).

At least nine feet in diameter.

The message of the book is "The torment nexus is pretty heckin' awesome, but if you have a few billion dollars it's worth living in the real world instead sometimes".

What a freaking narcissist

[picture is an excerpt from Ready Player One] The interesting thing here is that a bunch of "cultured" things from the 80s are mentioned here (R.E.M., DEVO, Bill Hicks, TMBG) but none of them actually matter in the story. The shit that matters is War Games and Joust.

It actually could've been a good satirical move if the STEM guy who made the simulation had awful taste in everything and never truly advanced beyond media made for children but that would've been too smart for Cline. Profoundly awful book that worsened the plague of 80s nostalgia devouring culture

Every plot-crucial pop culture reference in Ready Player One is something that was made for children. The satirical messages in DEVO's music or RoboCop don't matter. The references are literally only "Hey remember X?" It's all just stuff that the guy who made the simulation liked.

I write forced-feminization novels with cool dykes and evil women in them. All of my novel-length works have intricate plots with large casts and are written for adult audiences. My works have grit. There's sometimes cute stuff in my stories but they are never twee. Pictured: important influences

Angel Cop is safe

But a lot of people *think* they want these small books and so that's what sells. I hope they graduate to the proper trades, but sadly the trade dress of the DC books especially makes them collectable and so I think people fall in love with the [shitty] format.
