Let books convey emotions of joy, love, tenderness, revelry, sadness, grief, fear, uncertainty, and everything in between. That’s what books are meant to do, and whether or not we choose to read them should be something we always get to decide for ourselves and should not be dictated by others.

@leeandlow.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 5:55 PM

Let books be. Let books represent the beautiful, diverse world we live in and the many (oftentimes difficult) moments of life that readers of all ages experience. Let books serve as windows and mirrors, and let them do their job of saying “Hey, you’re not alone.”
