Looks like it's ready!! You totally called it 😂 bsky.app/profile/gabo...
Thanks for the clarification! I will say, the post is a week old and it's already outdated (I didn't mention rpx and rig now has package management bsky.app/profile/gabo...), soooo I would say there's definitely room for a new and better post 😅
May need a part 2 😊
Wow, I had no idea!! Thanks for letting me know!
Yes! I linked to it as an evergreen list 😄 thank you for creating it!
{renv}, {rix}, rv, uvr, ir... so many new #RStats tools! I wrote up a blog post if you've want to unpack (haha) how they work and how they are different.
Inspired by @rpodcast.bsky.social's wonderful Data Science Lab episode (thank you, Eric!).
Check out the post here: rworks.dev/posts/r-mana...

Nic ( @niccrane.bsky.social) taught us all about FREAKING PARQUET FILES on the #DSLab, which are wayyyyy cooler than I realized.
Parquet files:
Preserve data types
Are fast & small
Are column-oriented so you can read just 1 col if wanted!
& Positron displays'em out-the-box!
If you're ever like, man which 40 new #RStats packages should I take a look at this month, may I introduce....
the CRAN Top 40 😎
Living on the edge!
Congratulations!!
📘 It’s official: my first book, Work Automation with R, is published!
I started with a simple belief: you don’t need to be an R expert to build useful automation with R.
I certainly wasn’t one when I started.

I'm excited for PyLadiesCon!! Question, will there be a call for proposals, or will the program be set another way? Thanks so much.
Anytime I see something data-y in Python, I think:
Very happy to answer any questions, keep them coming! The Positron workshop is the only virtual option. The other workshops are all in-person. Their materials will be available, but there is no way to join them remotely.
You can choose nonprofit, but really, we'd just love for you to join us! There's also a free ticket option you can pick.
The virtual workshop is “Getting Started with Positron: An AI-Ready Polyglot Workflow for Data Science”! Happening 3am CT, 8am CT, or 4pm CT on Sept 14.
