The Youth Parliament has been an important voice in politics for young people - pushing for some brilliant policies like lowering the voting age to 16 and introducing free period products in schools. I have written to the Culture Secretary to urge her to continue its funding,

Despite what the right wing says, British people are proud of our diversity and that is best represented in our Parliament.🏫 I'm honoured to serve in the most diverse Parliament in our history - we still have more progress to make but so proud of where we have come from. ✅️

Andy Burnham has changed the Labour Party into a party I hope British Muslims can trust again.🌹 A focus young people, a new approach to Palestine, and a mission to tackle poverty and inequality. These are all issues I know Muslims in Britain care deeply about, as well as the wider British public.

Today is World Homelessness Day and World Mental Health Day. Labour is determined to end rough sleeping before Christmas, and we are expanding our mental health support – especially through our 159 new mental health hubs. We are working to make sure no person in Britain is unseen and left behind.
