@potterybyosa Oh, I forgot you were in that area. I love the Ringling museum of Art! (My first set of Christmas ornaments were purchased there on deep discount post-Christmas when I was a poor student wanting to have something for the following year. :) I'll be out there around the Christmas […]

Continuing to share Femring updates, because, hey, #perimenopause is a ride.

John Oliver had a whole show last night about problems with generic drugs -- basically what I've been dealing with generic transdermal estrogen patches not workingl.

Yesterday (day 8, Femring) was rough. On day 7 of […]

@APBBlue - this might be of interest to you given recent thread?

People interested in or affected by #perimenopause and #menopause: There's a draft of best practice guidance put out by Bree Collaborative in Washington State. Bree is a Governor-appointed board that focuses on one medical topic a year and puts out in-depth guidance for individuals, employers […]

@garland Yes - absolutely better for transit with an urban stadium! Especially around here where we don't connect neighborhood-to-neighborhood well at all; almost everything has to go through the center. (I love transit for "meeting someone somewhere downtown or along the line", but it's […]

Look, this is what transit excels at- moving masses of people away from an area. Go #Seattle for having transit people directing folks for the #lightrail.

A long line of people mostly in Seahawks gear in a transit station. There is a sign saying Downtown Redmond is one way (long line of people) and Lynnwood the other (small line).

My favorite earplugs for #seahawks games - noise cancelling headphones for construction workers and machinists: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07N98QPKD

They block noise just as-is and play music while I’m on the light rail. ;)

#Seahawks your ONE job was to not give them a safety. #NFL 🙄🙄🙄

The anthem singer for the #Seahawks opening was a 12 year old Mariachi singer. Which was great because fuck yes diversity and even more fuck yes amazing pipes and adorable outfit. #nfl

I just learned of the #Mushtodon tag from my feed this morning and thought I'd pass along event info for the Puget Sound Mycology Society happening in the #Seattle metro area.

Speaking of For All Mankind, I feel like every sci fi show I’ve watched that had a populated Mars in it at some point has had a “Free Mars” campaign. Why do we always put that on Mars?

I mean, I also realized at some point I’d seriously considered getting a pilot’s license because of the same itch. But it was pricey, dangerous, and I didn’t think I’d use it all that much. Ranger radio traffic is a much better deal 😂

@jonobie.social.coop.ap.brid.gyOct 10, 2026, 1:31 AM

I think at least 30% of my enjoyment of For All Mankind is the flight chatter. So sexy! At some point, I realized one of the things I like about doing dispatch (Khaki) for Rangers is participating in the radio chatter. (Another is the plate spinning of different tasks all at one; scratches a […]

If you visit Seattle - or really any part of central Cascadia with ferry service - from somewhere far away, seriously, take the ferry. Not with a car, just walk on. It's basically a dirt cheap cruise, you can pick your length depending upon where you go. You can get off and walk around on the […]

Hello, here are the weekly #washingtonstate #kingcounty (that is, #seattle and environs) #COVID #COVID19 #wastewater toots.

A quick reminder that this King County respiratory disease data comes from Washington State, not the federal government.

@cremevax All this tracks with my completely anecdotal “everyone I know right now is either sick, just got over being sick, or lives with someone who is sick”. 🤢 🤧😷

I did chop up the loveage's hollow stems and use it kinda like celery in some spaghetti sauce I made last night. I was afraid to put too much in (it can overwhelm easily), but I think simmering it for several hours in there gave a good undertone flavor. Hard to tell; everything sorta melded by […]

@jonobie.social.coop.ap.brid.gyOct 7, 2026, 7:44 PM

Playing with loveage, which is an INCREDIBLY prolific herb that's quite strong flavored. (Imagine the strongest celery you've tasted -- now even stronger, and cross it with parsley. It's something that is hard to use at the level I use, say, cilantro.) I've got a literal bucketful of it that I'm […]

This afternoon, I had an extra hour to use up some excess kefir I had in the fridge. I made this flatbread for the first time: https://tinandthyme.uk/2024/03/flatbread/

At the point of rolling it out, I had a thought: I still have the gorgeous old wood tortilla press I bought in Austin 20+ […]
