Hundreds of thousands of children in the U.S. are waiting for child care assistance they qualify for, leaving parents to choose between work and their children’s care.

No one should have to make that decision. We need greater investments in child care.

Millions of people show up for care every day — increasingly as friends and neighbors, not just family. But FMLA doesn’t protect their job if they take leave to do it. Every kind of care deserves support, no matter the relationship.

On #InternationalDayofOlderPersons, we’re reminded that everyone deserves to live and age with dignity, choice, and independence.

We need a care system that supports all of us to live and age where and how we choose.

The Caring Across Generations logo is at the top.A poster with the text: "Most people want to receive aging and disability care at home and in their communities. But too many people face barriers to getting the care they need, including strict financial eligibility requirements, a lack of affordable and accessible housing, and difficulty finding care workers in an underpaid and undervalued workforce. We need a care system that gives everyone the choice to live and age where and how they want.” At the bottom, there's a banner that reads "International Day of Older Persons."
